I am a student and i love this school!!!!! They have awesome 6th grade teachers and the best just the absolute best classes ever. If you are a student and you are looking at this right now i suggest you go ask whoever you live with to go to this school. I hope this helps you pick the the school you or your child goes to. I am a former student of MMS and can honestly say that I miss going to school here. I'm currently a senior in high school and nothing can compare to the time I spent at Millennium. The IB program set me up for high school, so far it's been a breeze. The performing art programs (I was actively involved in orchestra and drama) are unique and one of a kind. You can't find any other school to compare. The teachers are very dedicated and involved with their students. After three years of not being at MMS, I can honestly say that I miss it and wish my high school would have the positive atmosphere that MMS possesses. The friendships I made here with students and teachers have kept intact. They're all still involved in me life to this day. ~VS

Millennium middle school, parents from altamonte spring's Florida.we love that our daughter loves the school.she has been doing awesome and I love how the teachers communicate with me by email.they will all let me know if something not right. I dont like it that its a little bit far. But our daughter is doing awesome and now when in the track team. We was thinking of changing her to rock lake. But after reading their review's, wr aren't changing her. She has one more year left..

My daughter doesn't feel safe in this school. It's a shame because we like the programs, but there is a lot bullying on campus. When I am at the car line I see the groups of men that use the school as a shortcut from one side of the neighborhood to the other side and the go shirtless with their bodies full of tattoos I just lock my car and think if they can trespass to the classrooms since they are already inside the school The students use a lot of profanities and my daughter already witnessed a lot of fightings. Again, they have good programs, but it is not safe :(

I go to this school now and i strongly dislike it. One time at lunch we were on silent and if you talk then would be sent to IS. IS is the coldest building in the room! And if you think the schools cold then you will hate IS.

I went to school here for 6th&7th grade and I will not be attending school here for 8th grade...I had wonderful teachers both years but I got bullied a lot in 7th grade and I was at the point where I was to scared to go to school..I had never been bullied before this school and the school didn't proceed to do anything about it

My daughter attended the pre-IB program for 6th and 7th grade. Overall my daughter and I feel she was given an excellent education, the teachers do give a lot of homework, but they were always reasonable with due dates and makeup, also they had an excellent keyboarding program which she played piano and became very good at it. We've since moved away and my daughter attended a different school for 8th. She has definitely missed Millennium and often reminisces of it, 8th grade has been a breeze at her new school because of Millennium.

The comments below are all very true. The pre IB program does tend to load the kids with homework (often I think just for the heck of it) to the point that the program drop out rate once in high school is high. The magnet program attracts kids from many areas of the county along with those who are naturally assigned to the area. The neighborhood is among the poorest in the county and not something to be proud of, but generally safe once inside. The admin is decent (not great) and the magnet teachers are excellent for public based teachers. Recommend this for kids in pre IB or gifted program- but not general attendance.

We are so glad we made the move from our neighborhood middle school to Millennium's pre-IB program. This is a very well-run school. We've had excellent teachers, exceeding our expectations (which are pretty high) . The wide range of interesting electives helps students find new interests. Beyond performing arts, the Pre-Law courses are also impressive. The campus security is good compared with other schools, completely fenced in. The Pre-IB program is not super rigorous, it is challenging but not overwhelming for a college-bound student. The GEMS accelerated math track (the level above advanced math) can provide addtional challenge. With the exceptional course offerings, this is like a private prep school with no tuition. I highly recommend Millennium and am very pleased we made the out-of-zone leap. A few extra miles away, but such a positive experience we couldn't have had otherwise. Take a tour, you'll see.

We are so happy with this school. Our daughter was teased for not going to our neighborhood school, because of the "neighborhood" this school is located. She loves her school. Ms. Parkhurst puts her heart and soul into her students. She encourages them to get involved outside of the school. Her IB teachers are tough, but encouraging. There are so many options of electives, I have heard more then one parent say they wished they could go back to school! There is a lot of love there and not so much of the Mama drama. In fact, the parental involvement is the only thing lacking, compared to other schools. I guess a sign of the times.

we miss the great teachers and programs at this school...top notch! Some people worry about the neighborhood this school is in, the great programs at this school far out weigh any worries of where it is located!
